Imagine moving into the new house and settling in, only to feel being watched semi-constantly. It unsettles you at first but after awhile with no prove of anything bad happening, you grow used to it. You start talking to yourself out loud, complaining about people and you job/school, watching movies and commenting loudly to the invisible (and in your mind imagined) person. Sometimes your things go missing. And you can't find them anywhere, until you plead and beg for the thing to be returned. Sometimes scolding nobody for making you late as well. It makes a missing object appear almost instantly when you're not looking.

Then there are times that you're exhausted and almost crying coming home only to find a candy or chocolate on your table soon after.

And after a few months, you can swear you feel somebody cuddling you at night when you're half asleep or still too sleepy to wake up fully and investigate. But the feeling is always gone come morning with no trace. Always leaving behind a dissipating warmth around your waist where not long time ago, you could have sworn, were somebody's hands.

You think you're going mad and almost convince yourself of that. But one early morning (way to early for you), you wake up to the familiar feeling of warmth around you but this time solid and present. You can sense the chest expanding and colapsing with the slow breath against your back. And you carefully turn around in their embrace as not to spook them. Feeling you moving their arms tighten around you more.

When you're finally facing them, you see a mask. Turning your gaze up your eyes connect with theirs barely open ones. A moment passes, before he starts trying to hurriedly get away. Only for you to wrap yourself around him with your face in the crook of his neck, sighing contently "I'm not mad. Stay".

It would be a few more minutes after you fell back asleep till he calms his heart down drifting of to sleep himself.
